FC 27 changes two important parts of the FUT Champions experience: how you qualify and how Champions rewards are earned. The Finals still use the familiar 15-match format, but Champions Tokens and increased FUT Coin rewards change what players get from their run.

How do you qualify for FC 27 FUT Champions?
To qualify for FC 27 FUT Champions start with Champions Qualification Points (CQP). One of the biggest changes is that you no longer need to reach Division 6 for FUT Champions qualification. Instead, you can earn CQP through Division Rivals or Squad Battles.
Higher Division Rivals allow you to earn Points faster, while the previous Division 6 requirement has been removed. This is particularly relevant for players who prefer not to rely entirely on competitive PvP matches. Squad Battles now provides an additional way to earn CQP while playing against the AI.
For Season 1, current FC 27 reward databases report a requirement of 1,000 CQP to enter the qualification stage. Once you reach the required number of CQP, you receive a Finals Qualification Token and access to the Champions Finals, if you use it.

What happens in FC 27 FUT Champions Finals?
The Champions Finals are the main stage of the Ultimate Team Champions. FC 27 keeps the previous 15-match structure, but the reward system attached to it has changed. Current FC 27 reward data lists one rank for each possible number of wins, from Rank 1 at 15 wins down to Rank 15 at one win. Your results across those matches determine your final rank and the rewards you receive, which can include FUT Coins, Champions Tokens and other Ultimate Team rewards.
The 15 Finals matches do not have to be played in one sitting. You can spread your games across multiple sessions, but you need to complete them before the Finals event expires.
FC 27 FUT Champions Rewards: What's new?
FC 27 changes the Champions reward system by giving you more control over what you earn. Instead of relying solely on fixed reward packages, Champions now gives players FUT Coins and Champions Tokens.
Champions Tokens
Champions Tokens are a dedicated reward currency that gives players more choice over the rewards they can claim. In FC 27, Champions Tokens can be used in the Champions Token Store to choose from available reward options instead of relying only on a fixed reward package.
Champions Token Store will include Champions-specific rewards such as Team of the Week Players with the exclusive Red Item design, Evolutions and vanity rewards such as Celebrations. Token Store system can also include Player Items, Packs and other customization rewards, although the exact offers depend on the event and can change over time.
Because Token Stores are event-specific, the current rewards and any associated requirements should be checked in-game before spending your Tokens. EA notes that Token purchases cannot be reversed or refunded, so it is worth checking the item, Token cost and any time limits before confirming a purchase.
FUT Coins
FUT Coins also play a bigger role in Champions this year. Compared with FC 26, the number of FUT Coins earned after Champions matches has been significantly increased.
These post-match Coins are separate from the rewards linked to your overall Champions result. This means you can earn FUT Coins after individual matches while also progressing toward your final Champions rewards.
The exact Coin reward can vary by match and mode, so the post-match rewards screen is the best place to check how many FUT Coins you have earned after each game.
Another change to keep in mind is tradeability. A significantly higher proportion of FUT rewards will be tradeable in FC 27, giving players more flexibility on the Transfer Market, so check the tradeable status of individual rewards in the Champions menu before redeeming them.
What happens if you don't complete your FUT Champions Finals?
Champions Finals rewards become available when you complete your matches or when the event expires, whichever comes first. However, not every Champions run goes according to plan. The competition rules account for unfinished competitions, connection problems and unused qualification entries.
What happens if you don't finish all your matches?
If the Finals event expires before you complete all of your matches, you only receive the rewards you have earned from the matches you completed. Unfinished matches, due to connection problems or other issues, do not add any further progression towards your rewards.
This means you do not need to wait for a separate weekly rewards day after completing a Finals run. Your rewards become available based on the completion or expiration of the competition.
Your current Form also changes with each result, gaining 1 point for a win and losing 1 point for a loss, and this Form is used for Champions matchmaking.
What happens if you qualify but don't play Finals?
You do not have to redeem your Finals Qualification Token straight away. You can save it for a later Champions Finals event, and any unused Token carries over to the next Season. This gives you more control over when you enter the Finals. If you start a Finals event but do not complete all 15 matches, you will still receive the rewards corresponding to your progress.
How to prepare for your first FUT Champions Finals
Preparation starts before your first Finals match. Make sure your starting 11, substitutes and preferred tactics are ready, and use a formation that suits your usual playstyle. Avoid major changes just before or during the competition, as small adjustments are easier to manage when you already know how your squad performs.
Use Division Rivals to test your setup against other players before entering Finals. Use these matches to identify weaknesses in your formation, defence or attacking options, then make any necessary changes before your Finals run begins.
Before starting, take a final look at your squad, tactics and substitutes and check the current competition timer in-game. This helps you avoid unnecessary changes between matches and make sure you have enough time to complete your Finals run.

Can you play FUT Champions through the Web App?
No. The Web App and Companion App are designed for managing Ultimate Team rather than playing Champions matches. FUT Champions is an in-game competitive mode, so the actual matches must be played through the supported version of EA SPORTS FC 27. The apps can still be used to manage your club, check content and prepare your squad, including accessing the Transfer Market once it is unlocked on your account. They cannot, however, replace the game itself for Champions matches.

Where can you check the current FUT Champions rewards?
The exact rewards available in a current Champions competition should be checked through your competition progress in-game. EA's Champions support page directs players to this section to view the rewards available for their current Finals.
Champions rewards can change with seasonal content, so any exact reward values, available offers or Token costs should be treated as current information rather than permanent rewards.
