Draft lets you build a temporary squad from random Player selections and compete for rewards based on your performance. What is FC 27 Draft and how does it work?
Draft is a temporary squad-building mode in Ultimate Team where you create a team using Player Items you do not already own. You are not buying these Players for your Club, and you cannot keep the drafted squad after the run ends.
When you enter a Draft, you choose from a series of random Player selections to build your squad. You then use that team to compete in a knockout run.
There are two versions of Draft:
Online Draft: You play against other Ultimate Team players.
Single Player Draft: You play against AI-controlled teams.
How does a Draft run work?
Every Draft begins with a squad-building phase.
You first choose from five randomly selected formations. You then select a Captain from five options before filling the remaining positions through a series of five-player choices. Your final squad consists of 23 Players, after which you choose a Manager from the available options. Once your squad is ready, you enter the Draft tournament.
The format is simple:
Build your squad → Play a match → Win and continue → Lose and your Draft ends → Earn rewards based on your wins
Your Draft formation, Players and Manager remain part of that temporary Draft squad throughout the run, although you can change your starting XI, substitutes and reserves between matches.
A Draft can last for up to four matches. Winning all four matches gives you the highest possible result, while a loss ends the run.
How many wins do you need for each Draft tier?
Your final number of wins decides your reward tier, because Draft does not have a traditional ranking system.
You can finish with anywhere from 0 to 4 wins. Losing your first match gives you the 0-win result, while winning all four matches gives you the highest reward tier. For example, a player who finishes 3-1 receives the reward associated with three wins, while a player who goes 4-0 reaches the highest tier.
How much does FC 27 Draft cost?
Each Draft entry currently costs one of the following, according to FIFAUTeam's FC 27 Draft tracker:
Coins: 15,000
FC Points: 300
Draft Token: 1
The same entry options apply to both Online and Single Player Draft.
The 15,000-Coin entry fee is the option you're likely to use most. Draft Tokens can also be used when available, while FC Points provide an alternative way to enter without spending Coins.

Online Draft pays more than Single Player Draft for the same number of wins, especially at the higher tiers.
What are the Online Draft rewards?
The following Season 1 rewards come from community-tracked data in FIFAUTeam's FC 27 Draft tracker rather than an official EA reward table. The in-game reward screen remains the final reference, and reward combinations may change in future seasons.
0 Wins: 1x Draft Token Pack, or 1x Jumbo Gold Pack, or 1x Large Gold Pack
1 Win: 5x Gold Tradeable Players + 3x 78+ Tradeable Players
2 Wins: 5x 78+ Tradeable Players + 2x 81+ Tradeable Player Picks (1 of 3), or 3x 80+ Tradeable Players + 5x 81+ Tradeable Players
3 Wins: 1x Giant Gold Pack + 5x 80+ Tradeable Players
4 Wins: 5x 82+ Tradeable Players + 1x 83+ Tradeable Player Pick (1 of 3) + 1x 84+ Player Pick (1 of 2), or other reward combinations
At four wins, the current reward pool also includes other combinations. One pairs a Jumbo Gold Pack and a Large Gold Pack with 3x 84+ Tradeable Players. Another gives 10x 78+ Tradeable Players and 10x 80+ Tradeable Players.
The exact reward you receive can therefore vary even when two players achieve the same number of wins. This is an important distinction when calculating whether Draft is worth the entry fee.
What are the Single Player Draft rewards?
Single Player Draft opponents are controlled by the AI rather than other players.
The reward pool is different from Online Draft and is generally less valuable for the same number of wins. Current Season 1 community data shows the following examples:
0 Wins: 1x Premium Loan Player Reward Pack + 1x Large Silver Pack + 1x Gold Pack + 1x Silver Players Pack, or other listed combinations
1 Win: 3x Gold Packs
2 Wins: 2x Large Gold Packs + 1x Jumbo Premium Gold Pack
3 Wins: 2x Large Gold Packs + 1x Jumbo Premium Gold Pack
4 Wins: Several combinations, including Jumbo Gold, Gold and Mini Gold Packs

Online vs Single Player Draft: which is better?
The main difference is who you play against.
Online Draft: You play against other Ultimate Team players. It's more competitive, with higher potential rewards, and it's the better option if you are confident in your gameplay.
Single Player Draft: You play against the AI and choose the difficulty. It's less competitive, with lower reward potential.
The difficulty you select in Single Player Draft does not change the Draft reward table. It can affect the Coins you earn from individual matches, but it does not upgrade the reward tier you receive at the end of the Draft.
This makes Online Draft the better choice if your main goal is to maximise the value of your Draft entry. Single Player Draft can still make sense if you want to practice with different squads or are not comfortable playing Draft online.
Is FC 27 Draft worth 15,000 Coins?
Only if you finish 4-0 often, because a full Online Draft is worth more than three times its entry and the lower tiers rarely cover it.
What is a 4-win Draft worth in Coins?
Our boosters' 4-0 Online Drafts are usually worth 50,000 Coins or more, depending on what the packs and picks contain. That's more than three times the 15,000-Coin entry.
Multiply that by your odds and you get what each entry earns back from 4-0 runs alone:
At 60%: about 6,500 Coins per entry
At 70%: about 12,000 Coins per entry
At 80%: about 20,500 Coins per entry
At our boosters' 9 in 10: about 45,000 Coins per entry
These figures count only the 4-win tier, so they are a floor. Lower tiers add some value on top, but below an 80% win rate the 4-0 runs alone don't pay back the entry on average.
How do you know if Draft is worth it for you?
The easiest way to find out whether Draft is worth 15,000 Coins for you is to play a few Draft runs and track your results. Look at how many wins you usually get and compare the rewards you receive with the entry fee. After several runs, you should have a better idea of whether Draft is giving you enough value to justify the Coins you spend.
If you regularly reach 3 or 4 wins, Draft can be worth the entry fee because you have access to the stronger reward tiers. Your chances of recovering the 15,000 Coins or getting more value from the rewards are much better than if you usually lose early.
If you usually finish with 1 or 2 wins, the decision is less straightforward. You still receive rewards, but the lower tiers generally offer less value. If this is your usual result, repeatedly spending 15,000 Coins on Draft can be difficult to justify. For players who consistently fall short of 3 or 4 wins, improving your gameplay may be a better first step than simply playing more Drafts.
Regularly losing your first match makes Draft an unlikely way to get good value from your Coins. You are paying 15,000 Coins for a single-match run, while other Ultimate Team modes can offer more predictable ways to use those Coins.
A Draft Token changes the calculation completely. Since it gives you a free Draft entry, you do not need to recover the 15,000-Coin cost from your rewards. If you have a Token available, using it is generally a much easier choice than spending Coins on the entry fee.
When is Draft most worth playing?
The value of Draft can also change as the FC 27 cycle progresses.
During the early weeks of the game, tradeable Gold Players and other lower-rated rewards can be more useful while first Ultimate Team squads are still being built. Demand for Players needed for squads, objectives and SBCs can also make some Draft rewards more valuable during this period.
As the game progresses, players generally gain access to stronger squads and higher-rated Player Items. Rewards that were useful early in the cycle may therefore have less impact on your Club later on.
The Draft reward pool can also change between seasons, introducing different Player requirements, packs or Player Picks. Because of this, the value of entering Draft is not fixed for the entire FC 27 cycle.
This makes the early stages of the FC 27 cycle a particularly useful time to consider Draft, especially if you can consistently reach the higher win tiers.
How do you get more value from Draft?
Booster tips: If you decide to play Draft, these tips can help you give yourself a better chance of reaching the higher win tiers.
Build around chemistry. Your Player choices are random, so the highest-rated Player is not always the best option. Look for League, Nation and Club links that help you create a balanced squad.
Do not force attacking plays. Since one loss ends your Draft run, staying composed and avoiding unnecessary risks can be more valuable than constantly trying to force another goal.
Use your bench strategically. Keep useful substitutes available and use them to change the way your team plays or replace tired Players as the match progresses.
Adapt to your opponent. If your original game plan is not working, changing your formation, instructions or approach can give you a better chance of getting the win.
